What we collect when you use this site or register for GOMECON 12, why we need it, and the choices you have.

  1. 1. Who we are

    This website is run by the GOMECON 12 Organising Committee, Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Goa, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site or register for the conference, and what we do with it.

  2. 2. What we collect

    Account details: your name, email address, phone number, institution, course and year of study, and a password (stored only in hashed form).

    Registration details: the delegate pass, workshops and events you choose, team names and members, and any dietary or accessibility notes you give us.

    Payment details: the amount, status and reference of each payment. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored on our servers.

    Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, device and browser type, kept in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

  3. 3. How we use it

    To create and manage your account, process your registration and payments, allocate workshop and event seats, and issue your gate pass and certificates.

    To contact you about the conference: confirmations, schedule changes and important updates.

    To plan catering, accommodation and accessibility arrangements, and to keep the site secure.

    We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

  4. 4. Who we share it with

    Only with those who need it to run the conference: committee members and volunteers handling registration, workshop facilitators (for their own session lists), our payment provider and our hosting provider. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

  5. 5. How long we keep it

    We keep registration records for as long as needed to run the conference, issue certificates and meet accounting and legal obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

  6. 6. Cookies and storage

    The site uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and remember your cart. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

  7. 7. Your choices

    You can view and update your account details at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, subject to records we must keep for completed payments.

  8. 8. Security

    We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private.
